Why Choose Our Chiropractic Care

At Gentle Care Chiropractic, we use a range of proven, research-supported chiropractic techniques to restore mobility, reduce pain, and help your body function the way it’s designed to. Each method is chosen based on your body’s needs, your injury history, and your health goals and your preferences. We approach treatment with consideration and care, never a one-size-fits-all approach.

Patient-Centered, Evidence-Based Approach

We combine manual spinal adjustment, soft tissue therapies, and modern technologies, all grounded in research, to help you heal safely and effectively

Specialized in Auto Injury Recovery

Whether you’ve experienced whiplash, back pain, or nerve symptoms after a car accident, our chiropractic program is tailored to restore function, reduce pain, and support long-term recovery.

Chiropractic Techniques We Use

Diversified Technique & Gonstead Technique (Manual Adjustments)

The Diversified Technique is the most widely used chiropractic method, known for its precision and effectiveness. Through targeted, hands-on adjustments, we relieve joint restrictions, improve joint function, and increase mobility. A trusted technique used by most chiropractors.

The Gonstead Technique adjustments may be performed while seated or lying on your side, allowing targeting of restrictions at the neck, back, pelvis, and hips.

Activator Method & Torque Release Technique (Low-Force Instrument Adjusting)

The Activator Method or Arthrostim uses a small handheld spring-loaded instrument or Impulse tool to deliver gentle, controlled impulses to the spine or extremities. Because it’s low-force and highly precise, it’s excellent for patients with acute pain, nervous system sensitivity, or those who prefer a non-manual style of adjustment.

Spinal Mobilization (Manual Therapy)

Spinal Mobilization is a gentle, controlled manual technique used to reduce joint pressure, relieve muscle tension, calm inflammation, and improve nerve function. It uses light stretching and slow, rhythmic motion, ideal for patients who prefer or need a softer approach than traditional adjustments. Chiropractors and physical therapists commonly use this technique for its safety and effectiveness.

Thompson Drop Table Technique

This technique uses a specialized, padded drop table that moves with your body as a light, quick thrust is applied. The dropping motion feels smooth and comfortable, allowing for adjustments with minimal force. It is especially effective for pelvic and lumbar alignment.

Myofascial Release & Soft Tissue Therapy

Myofascial Release is a targeted hands-on therapy that reduces muscle tension, breaks up adhesions, and restores healthy movement in the fascia. This technique helps improve mobility, decrease inflammation, and relieve pain caused by injury, overuse, or poor posture. Graston and cupping may also be used as part of soft tissue therapy. This is effective for auto injury recovery, chronic tightness, and patients combining massage and chiropractic care for faster, longer-lasting results.

Extremity Adjusting (Shoulders, Hips, Knees, Ankles, Wrists)

Targeted extremity adjustments treat joint dysfunction and misalignment in joints beyond the spine, including shoulders, ribs, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. By treating the extremities we can improve gait patterns, shoulder function, and posture. In turn alleviating pain, improve mobility, and optimize your body’s biomechanics

Frequently Asked Questions

We specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating issues that affect our joints, bones, nerves, and muscles, and we do it without surgery or long-term medications. That means no scalpels, no scary side effects, and no prescriptions. Whether you’re dealing with a nagging injury, looking to prevent one, or just trying to figure out why your joints sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies, chiropractic care offers a hands-on natural approach. If you’re looking for holistic options, we can help find the right treatment for you.

A chiropractic adjustment is a targeted, hands-on technique that releases joint restrictions and pressure. Releasing joint restrictions helps your body move like it’s supposed to. It’s performed by someone who’s trained in the complex art and science of the musculoskeletal system (yep, that’s us again).Adjustments can be done on all sorts of areas: Neck, Back, Hips, Legs, Wrists, Ankles, and Digits. We use our hands or special tools to gently (but effectively) the spine and joints. Conditions Commonly Treated by Chiropractors: Back and Neck Pain: Chiropractors use adjustments and manipulations to relieve pain and improve function, especially in the lower and upper back, and neck. Headaches: Chiropractic care can help reduce the frequency and severity of tension headaches and migraines by addressing underlying spinal misalignments. Joint Pain: Chiropractors can help manage pain and improve mobility in joints like the knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows, especially in cases of osteoarthritis. Whiplash: Chiropractors can help restore neck and back function after whiplash injuries sustained in car accidents. Sciatica: Chiropractic adjustments can help relieve pain caused by sciatic nerve compression, which can radiate from the back down the legs. Sports Injuries: Chiropractors can help treat sprains, strains, and joint issues resulting from sports activities. Other Conditions: Chiropractors may also address carpal tunnel syndrome, scoliosis, and even some digestive issues.
No two patients walk through our doors for the same reason, and no two treatments are exactly alike but the goal is always the same: help your body heal naturally. Whether you’re battling chronic migraines, recovering from a car accident, or just sick of feeling stiff as a board when you get out of bed, a chiropractic adjustment could help by: Reducing pain, improving range of motion, restoring natural alignment, and preventing future injuries. We even work with imaging like X-rays and MRIs to get a closer look at what’s going on, especially if something feels off but you can’t quite explain why.
Your first chiropractic consultation will feel familiar if you’ve ever been to a regular doctor. We’ll ask about your medical history, any medications you’re on, past injuries, surgeries, and anything else that gives us a complete picture of your health. Then comes the physical exam: we’ll check for any subluxations, spinal restrictions, postural misalignment, deformities, or signs that imaging might be necessary. We’ll refer you to the right provider if more specialized treatment or imaging like CT scan, or MRI is needed to make sure we’re treating the root of the issue, not just chasing symptoms.
Once your treatment plan is ready, your chiropractor will guide you through your first adjustment. You’ll lie on an adjustment table (some parts may tilt or “drop” to help us reach target areas), and we’ll apply quick, short, precise force to the affected joints.Yes, you might hear a few pops or cracks, totally normal! That’s just those trapped gases releasing. It’s a bit like cracking your knuckles, but with a purpose (and a license). Most people feel relief pretty quickly. You might be a little sore for a day or so afterward, like you hit the gym for the first time in a while, but that typically fades fast with most patients experiencing lasting relief.
